Zoey’s in Japan Part II: Hardly an Update

I feel I should update because I haven’t in a hot minute. Things are more chill now. I have my good days and bad days, but I’m calmer about them now. I only have two more full days left on this vacation. As ready as I feel to go home, I also don’t want to. It’s a strange mix of emotions. I haven’t seen my brothers in so long, I don’t want to say goodbye again. Also, I feel like I’m seeing my parents for the first time in forever. At home, they’re so busy and stressed a lot of the time, so I rarely get to hang out with them when they’re not worrying about work.

Despite what I said in my previous post, I’m having a really good time. I do get really tired and spend a lot of time in the hotel room, but I enjoy it. I can’t say that I don’t feel guilty about it, but also I’m so happy to be with my brothers I hardly focus on that. Today we got reunited with Jayden, who I hadn’t seen since Daegu because he has a job or something.

I don’t really want to recap everything I’ve done on this trip for a couple reasons: 1. I don’t remember, and 2. I may post our trip video here for those interested in watching. I will make a list of things that are on the top of my head right now:

  1. At one of our hotels we needed a physical traditional metal key to unlock the door, but for some reason the lights required a key card to work. I don’t know where they expected me to get one from, but I learned that a crumpled up tissue works the same.

  2. I’m going to a mini pig cafe tomorrow!

  3. On Monday, my mum and I are going to Tokyo Disney Sea, which I’m pretty pumped for.

  4. I love Daiso.

If you have any requests about what you want to hear about from this trip, feel free to reach out and let me know. I don’t know what else to say. Okay. Bye.
